A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Monday and suffered fatal injuries, according to a preliminary investigation by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
The victim, identified only as a female, was crossing near Washington Avenue and Mill Street when she was struck at around 7 p.m.
